Livra MD™ Micro-channeling & Stem Cell Therapy Micro-channeling therapy is a non-surgical, non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure designed to improve the appearance of aging skin and to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, acne, scaring and hair loss. The procedure creates invisible micro-perforations on the outer layer of dead skin, stimulating cells to activate the production of new collagen and triggering the body to fill these channels with newly produced collagen and elastin. Unlike other treatments that injure or damage the skin to activate a healing response (IPL, Chemical Peels, Laser treatments), ProCell Micro-channeling therapy improves the skin’s health and appearance by stimulating the release of Epidermal Growth Factors with virtually no damage to the skin and very little downtime.
Microchanneling is known to enhance the skin’s absorption of natural nutrients and topical serums by over 300%. Our Livra MD stem cell growth serums are applied during and immediately after the procedure to deliver a high concentration of growth factors.
How Is The Procedure Done?
A sterile needle-face containing tiny micro-needles is attached to the Microchannel. Your skincare professional will apply a thin layer of topical growth serum to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs.
Then, the Microchannel is stamped or tapped across your face, creating hundreds of tiny channels through which the serum is absorbed into your skin. Because the microchannel is stamped on our face instead of dragged, the only injuries are the microchannels created by the tiny needles (the size of a hair).
What can be expected during a treatment?
Though there are micro-fine needles used, the treatment is not painful (although we do offer numbing if necessary). Each treatment begins with a thorough cleansing and a light Enzyme Exfoliation. During microchanneling, there is a cool, wet feeling as the Growth Factor serum is infused. Upon completion of the treatment a cooling and Hydrating mask is applied.
Make up can be applied 12-24 hrs after treatment.
This result was achieved after 4 treatments +
daily use of the 2 ProCell serums
After 6 treatments + ProCell Serums
How many treatments should be done?
The number of treatments varies from person to person and depends on what and who we are treating. For deeper wrinkles or acne scarring, usually 4-9 treatments may be required to achieve desired results. There is no limit to the number of treatments that one can receive as long as adequate time passes in between each treatment (3-4 weeks).
What will this treatment improve the appearance of?
Fine lines and shallow wrinkles
Aging and sun damaged skin
Uneven skin texture from sun damage
Oily/Acne prone skin
Dry, flaky, patchy skin
Raised scars and pitted acne scars
